United States – Nationwide
The Big Halal Map by Talha Amir – a comprehensive map of thousands of halal restaurants in every corner of the US. If you can’t find something near you on Halal.ist’s map, then consult The Big Map next. The aim here is to be comprehensive rather than curated, which is a perfect complement to Halal.ist.
Eater.com’s Halal Maps – Eater.com is an incredible foodie resource for halal and non-halal alike. Some of their best resources are map-driven articles, which include several Halal maps for cities big and small. The link takes you to the maps page with the search keyword Halal, and while not all the maps here are exclusively halal, enough are to make it well worth bookmarking and referencing the next time you find yourself traveling.
New York City Metropolitan Area
Muslim Foodies Halal Map of NYC – Muslim Foodies started with a bunch of college students in 2017 and were early pioneers of the Halal Instagram scene. Their NYC map covers most of the five boroughs, Jersey, and Long Island. This is a must-bookmark reference for anyone headed to the New York metropolitan area.

North Carolina
Halal Eats NC is a database of halal restaurants in North Carolina. You can filter and sort the restaurant listings according to your preference of cuisine, distance, and halal status, as well as use the interactive map. They also are on Instagram as halaleatsnc.
Paris Metropolitan Area
The below map covers Paris and its environs. Restaurants certified by France-based certifiers AVS or Achahada are indicated by their respective logos. Restaurants in green have indicated that they use certified meat from AVS, Achahada, ARGML (affiliated with the Great Mosque of Lyon), or HAC. Restaurants in gray were previously AVS/Achahada certified in the past but are no longer confirmed, and should be verified or avoided.

HalalFest Events – The original halal food festival! The HalalFest team (of which Halal.ist is a proud partner) has multiple events in the Bay Area all year, from the main HalalFest food festival to other events in partnership with sports teams like the 49ers and the Warriors.

U.S. Certifiers
Halal Food Standards Alliance of America (HFSAA) – A non-profit 501(c)(3) Halal certification organization, which certifies everything in the meat supply chain, foods, cosmetics, chemicals, and more. Their mission is to implement a higher standard (e.g., hand-slaughter, horizontal cut) to ensure that any Muslim is able to consume their certified products regardless of what their personal stance may be on such issues. HFSAA also maintains a library of articles that discuss various aspects of halal slaughter that are worth reading.
Halal Transactions of Omaha (HTO) – Approved by Muslim authorities throughout the world to certify meat, poultry, food items, and other goods produced in North America as suitable for Muslim consumption anywhere. Halal Transactions claims to be the only Halal certifier in the Western Hemisphere to be ISO 17065 accredited. More information on their certification standards and services can be found on their Services page on their website. Note that HTO does certify machine-cut methods.
Halal Monitoring Services (HMS) – Non-profit independent Halal monitoring organization which is a branch of the Shariah Board of America, and the Rahmat-e-Alam Foundation, HMS certifies only hand-slaughtered Halal meat and monitors the whole chain, from the slaughterhouse to the distributor, and further to the retail store or restaurant. HMS has a network of certified slaughterhouses, grocery stores, and restaurants, in several cities across 13 states in the US.
